This past weekend (May 4th) I decided to do a little laundry and brought Christiana in the laundry room with me. Now she is infamous for taking clothes out of the basket and throwing them on the floor, so I decided to put those "taking clothes out of the basket" skills to good use. :O) We played a little game called "let's put the wet clothes in the dryer". She must have played this game before because she was pretty good at putting them in the dryer. Hahahaha! If the clothes were hanging out of the dryer she would grab them and push them all the way in. When she was finished putting them in the dryer she would walk back to get some more wet clothes. My momma said this was the way she taught us how to sort, empty pockets, and eventually wash our own clothes; sooo this is the method I'm going to use with Christiana. :O)Hmmm what's going to be the next clean up "game"? I want her to grow up to be self sufficient and instilling this skills at a young age will be a HUGE benefit in her future.
