Mobile Munchie: Family fun at the park

This weekend we went to our local park to let Munchie have a little fun.  It was such a nice Saturday, it only seem fitting that we take her (especially since we live in an apartment) to enjoy the beautiful day.
Our park day started off with daddy Teems showing her how to play a little basketball.  I believe that she will not only be a dancer, but she will play some sort of ball.  Whether it's basketball, volleyball, softball, or even soccer; daddy Teems will make sure she plays a sport (I'm looking forward to being a snack mom ;OP).  Christiana loves getting the ball; she even says "ball" and taps the ball when she gets it. :O)

From there we head off to the slide.  Auntie Shelley said she's the "Queen of the Slide" at daycare, so she was excited to get on that.  Unfortunately for the "Queen of the Slide" she had to share the slide with the other children at the park and they weren't familiar with her slide status (plus she was the youngest child there) so she had to wait a bit...actually the other children had to wait for her. ;OP so she still had "queen" status.  Every now and then the queen wanted to get on the big kid slide & that's where I came in; I ended up going on the slide with her.  After that she thought she was a big girl & tried to go up the slide instead of going down (of course we had to help).

After the slides we headed over to the swings.  In the beginning she was a little shaken up but that only lasted a couple of minutes (especially when another little girl was playing on the swings next to her).

Once more & more kids started coming to the park, I felt it was time for us to head home.  I didn't want her getting knocked down by kids twice her size, so we walked over to the parks mural to look at it, she just loooove bright pictures.  The first thing she walked to were the flowers & ladybugs.  Her new words are: flower, butterfly & ladybug.  So the teacher in me wanted to see if she knew what each picture was, so I gave her a little quiz.  I asked her what each picture was & waited for her to walk to the picture.  Guess what?  She did it!! My baby is sooo smart. :O)
