For the last 6 months I have been planning Christiana's first birthday party; yes I was planning it when she was about 4 months. Some call me crazy, others say starting early is a must. Of course you know I agree with the latter comment. :O) I have everything planned from her outfit, decorations, games, food, and invitations. The only thing left was to find a location. The past 2 years the weather has been horrible in February so I figured having her party in a recreation room at a park would be the better option. Weeeell this past Wednesday I found the location of her party!! Heeeey!! Now I can start putting my plans into action.
Having this party is more for us and our family and friends because she won't remember it, but celebrating her life is important to us.
Soooo what is my vision for her party?

With homemade ladybug cake balls, chocolate covered pretzels, Valentine candy
- Picture table:
Pictures of Christiana throughout her first year
- Activities/Games:
make their own bug antennae, 
bug picture corner, 
worms in dirt station, 
create picture frames (that will be their party favor), 
pin the spot on the ladybug (the setup for this will be done by my students as well), 
ladybug ball toss (student project)
- Food: meatballs, sandwiches, carrots & ranch, chips, fruit platter
- Drinks: water & some sort of punch or lemonade (bug punch or ladybug lemonade)
Not bad huh? I can't wait :O) We have less than 2 months so I need to start creating the decorations when I get back to work. :O) I'll post pictures along the way.
