I love my mother

From birth the bond between a mother and child is unbreakable; from that moment they fall in love with one another.

"At the time of birth, and for about an hour following birthing, the mother and her newborn baby are swamped in a cocktail of hormones. This time is a crucial time for the mother and baby to bond, to become attached … to fall in love." http://www.health-e-learning.com/resources/articles/34-falling-in-love

Needless to say I have loved my momma for almost 34 years! Today my mother was admitted to the hospital. Just her being there made me break down and cry, but when I found out she had to be on a ventilator I almost dropped!!!  I love my mother to death. Seeing my mother, who is normally a fighter, always on the go, smiling despite her pain, and getting her skate on; totally helpless just hurt my heart to the core.  Seeing someone close to you in the hospital of course isn't a great feeling, but when it's your mother it's 100 times worse!!!

According to Psalms 90:12 Teach us to number ours days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Life is short and we need to appreciate our loved ones and not take them for granted.  I know my momma will not be here with us forever and I will enjoy our precious moments together.  This scriptures also reminds me that I should be more loving, unselfish, and forgiving. Aren't these all characteristics of our wonderful Jesus? Things that we should all strive to be.

I want my to enjoy her precious moments with her grand daughter Christiana.  So Christiana can love her the way I love her.  In other words having my mother around for many more years would be awesome!
